A Demand Switch can be used to minimise the electric fields from circuits which are not actually supplying power. A Demand Switch is an electronically controlled mechanical circuit breaker (MCB) that replaces the 230 volts AC with a low or a DC voltage that is then used to sense when a switch is closed, when the 230 volts AC is automatically re-connected to the circuit.
